Bio

PhD in Science, Technology and Society (STS); holder of a Master’s degree in Territorial and Urban Strategies (STU) from Sciences Po and a Specialised Master’s degree in Contemporary Creation and Technology (CTC) from ENSCI – Les Ateliers, I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at LATTS and an associate researcher at Sciences Po’s Medialab.

At the intersection of STS, urban studies and design research, my work focuses on the technical and scientific instrumentation of ecological issues in urban development. I combine field research with experimentation, particularly around the auditory dimension of urban experiences, to explore alternative ways of enhancing the sensitivity of stakeholders and providing them with tools for action.

As part of my PhD, conducted at the Centre for the Sociology of Innovation (CSI, Mines Paris, PSL University) as part of a CIFRE programme in collaboration with the architectural practice PCA-STREAM (2022–2025), I have studied quantification and modelling tools designed to facilitate the integration of biodiversity considerations into urban and architectural projects. Using an approach that combines Science and Technology Studies (STS) with design research, I analysed how these tools lead to ‘composing’ with biodiversity, by shaping knowledge derived from scientific ecology to make it applicable within projects. I documented the ways in which these tools frame problems, foster biodiversity policies, and raise awareness of both knowledge and the stakeholders involved.

I am currently extending this work as part of the ECOMODAM project, which focuses on the ‘greening’ of planners’ economic models, specifically by examining the ways in which ecological considerations are accounted for and given weight in urban development, particularly in the context of urban planning.
