Knowledge, technical cultures, territories (SCT)

Knowledge, Technical Cultures, Territories research axis studies the trajectories and transformations of technical knowledge and practices over the last three centuries, particularly through urban and regional planning and technical networks, drawing on historical, comparative and transnational perspectives.

Govern, organise, work (GOT)

The Governing, Organising, Working research axis studies, mainly through sociology, the restructuring of public action, organisations and work through socio-technical mechanisms and the practices of the actors involved, bringing together themes such as local public action, managerial work and creativity at work.

Politics, Markets and Urban Worlds (PMMU)

The Politics, Markets and Urban Worlds (PMMU) research axis explores the production, management and regulation of urban systems, linking analyses of infrastructure and the political economy of the built environment, and integrating inhabitants’ practices, markets and protests in different geographical contexts. It highlights urban transformations, power relations and the restructuring of public action beyond planned urban development.

Urban and environmental risks (RUE)

The Urban and Environmental Risks (RUE) research axis analyses the specific nature of risks in urban environments, whether related to natural or industrial phenomena, by combining disciplinary approaches to examine how “risky” situations and their technical and socio-political mechanisms are defined, managed and anticipated.
