Seminar on ‘Touristification and green gentrification of the north-eastern coastline’ (Brazil)

As part of his visit to LATTS, the Brazilian geographer Alexandre Queiroz Pereira will give a talk on the topic of touristification and green gentrification of Brazil’s coastlines. This seminar will take place on Wednesday 4 November 2026, from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm in room B235 of the Bienvenüe Building.

Alexandre is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography at the Federal University of Ceará. His research focuses on the process of metropolisation in peripheral regions of the Global South, and on the touristification and ‘green gentrification’ of Brazil’s coastlines.
