Seminar of the cross-disciplinary group "Inventing Greater Paris" Labex Futurs Urbains (UPE)

The first session of the annual seminar "Inventing Greater Paris" will take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture Paris Belleville. It will focus on "Contemporary Greater Paris."

The first session of the annual seminar "Inventing Greater Paris" is devoted to contemporary Greater Paris. It will revisit the 2008/2009 international consultation on Greater Paris as a catalyst for ideas, an essential international showcase, and a preliminary step in the development of the metropolis, in order to understand the effects that the consultation had on representations and development practices in Greater Paris. This session revives the spirit that presided over the founding of the scientific collective: by delving into the long history of Greater Paris, it aims to incorporate contemporary issues and periods in its development into research topics related to the intertwined history of metropolises.

Scientific coordination: Alessandro Panzeri, Frédéric Pousin, and Nathalie Roseau
