Bio

As a qualified architect and urban planner, I am interested in urban infrastructure in cities across the Global South. My doctoral research focuses on the transformations taking place in the electricity sector in response to the rise of decentralised solar photovoltaic systems in urban areas, particularly in the Dakar region of Senegal.
Since 2022, I have been conducting in-depth field research, meeting with a wide range of stakeholders in the electricity and renewable energy sectors: institutions, companies, NGOs, local authorities, technicians, self-generators (households, businesses and industry, the public sector) as well as technical and financial partners.
