Mélanie Rateau traveled to Benin for a two-month pre-field mission as part of her first year of doctoral studies on the composite electricity supply system and inequalities in access to energy services in urban areas. She met with numerous stakeholders involved in the electricity sector and conducted field observations. Attached is a series of photographs providing an overview of the diversity of socio-technical devices enabling access to electricity services of varying quality in Cotonou and Abomey-Calavi.
