The PMMU research group is organizing a seminar on Monday, March 7, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.
Jean-Pierre Lévy will present the topic:
A longitudinal approach to the French housing system (1977-2030): theoretical framework, modeling, and simulations
Abstract:
The presentation will focus on the theoretical and methodological foundations of the ASHA (Analyse des Systèmes d’Habitat) model. Drawing on work on the filtering process and housing vacancy chains, the model makes it possible to study the impact of one type of housing on the occupancy of other types in a given system. The empirical presentation will focus on observations of the French national system between 1977 and 2013 and simulations of its evolution through the 2030s. It will highlight the reconfigurations of the system, its blockages, and the uncertainties weighing on the amplification of exclusion and poor housing.
