Bio

I am a Research Director Emeritus at the CNRS. My research focuses on housing and settlement issues and on household energy use from a modeling perspective. Before joining LATTS (2014), I was affiliated with various laboratories, including LAVUE (UMR 7218), which I directed from 2010 to 2014.

I have participated in several collaborative research projects on urban practices and energy issues, topics on which I have published numerous articles: the Energihab project, which I led; the ANR Eurequa project led by Sinda Haouès-Jouve (LISST UMR 5193); and the ANR MaPuce project supervised by Valery Masson of Météo-France. All of these research projects are characterized by a “radical” multidisciplinary approach that brings together geographers, sociologists, and engineers, among others. In line with this approach, I am currently representing LATTS (CNRS) in the ENRICO research project (Development of Scenarios for Occupant Behavior), funded by ADEME, in collaboration with CSTB and EDF. This project aims to develop a digital tool for simulating household energy behavior, which will be made available as open source.
