Olivier Coutard and Ludovic Halbert will be speaking at these events:
The ASRDLF 2019 Doctoral Conference will be held for the second consecutive year at the Institute of Urban Planning and Alpine Geography, University of Grenoble Alpes, on February 4, 5, and 6, 2019.
These doctoral conferences are aimed at doctoral students in the humanities and social sciences (planning, economics, geography, management, history, political science, sociology, etc.) whose work focuses on territorial issues.
Providing a genuine opportunity for exchange and debate between young researchers and established scholars, the doctoral conferences take the form of thematic workshops. Four or five doctoral students present their work to several faculty members and other doctoral students, benefiting from their insights and experience.
The event also includes plenary sessions: lectures (Ludovic Halbert, CNRS researcher at LATTS; Leila Kebir, researcher at the University of Lausanne, and Frédéric Wallet, INRA engineer); information session on completing a thesis in the presence of doctoral school directors and CNU presidents (geography, urban planning, and economics); presentation of the CNRS competition in section 39; presentation of professional integration programs after the doctorate, etc.
The doctoral conferences bring together 70 doctoral students and around 15 professors and supervisors from across the French-speaking world.
These doctoral seminars are organized by the Pacte laboratory with the support of the IUGA on behalf of the Association de science régionale de langue française (ASRDLF). This international scientific association, publisher of the Revue d’Economie Régionale et Urbaine, with approximately 350 members, organizes a conference and a doctoral school each year at various university sites in France and abroad.
