Nathalie Montel

Having initially trained as an engineer (specialising in urban planning) in 1986, I completed a PhD in history at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (1995) and subsequently obtained a HDR in history at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (2008). I initially worked at the Ministry of Infrastructure as a research officer in several departments, then as scientific secretary to its History Committee upon its establishment. Since 2001, I have been a researcher at Latts and a member of the editorial board of the journal Genèses. Social Sciences and History.

I have taught at the École nationale des travaux publics de l’État, the University of Villetaneuse, the École des hautes études en sciences sociales, the University of Catania, the École nationale des ponts et chaussées and the University of Marne-la-Vallée.
