2017 APERAU Award presented to Antoine Guironnet

Antoine Guironnet is the winner of the 2017 APERAU (Association for the Promotion of Education and Research in Planning and Urban Development) Award for the best article on urban planning.

"Une financiarisation si discrète ? La circulation des standards de la filière d'investissement en immobilier tertiaire dans les politiques de développement urbain du Grand Lyon" (Such discreet financialization? The circulation of standards in the commercial real estate investment sector in Greater Lyon's urban development policies), published in Métropoles, 19/2016, posted online on December 1, 2016.

Jury comment:
By introducing the concept of financialization into the analysis of urban production, this dense but impeccably clear article takes a fresh look at the relationship between the public and private spheres. It successfully contributes to the unveiling of processes that have long remained invisible, despite their active role in reshaping the power relations that govern the production of metropolitan spaces. The fact that it was written by a doctoral student makes it even more promising.
